It’s hard to believe that the Tactical Hapkido Alliance is 25 years old.
When I first stepped out in faith and started the THA, I had no idea how far God would take it—or how deeply it would shape my life. I simply wanted to teach, to serve, and to build something rooted in integrity, discipline, and real-world effectiveness. I never imagined the impact it would have, or the number of lives it would touch across the world.
But God had a plan far bigger than mine.
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” — Proverbs 16:9
Over these 25 years, I’ve watched God open doors I never could have opened on my own. He brought incredible people into my life—students, instructors, school owners, leaders, and friends from every corner of the globe. I’ve had the privilege of training with thousands, sharing knowledge, building relationships, and watching people grow not only as martial artists, but as human beings.
Every seminar, every class, every handshake, every story shared on the mat… it all adds up to something far bigger than techniques or rank. It’s community. It’s family. It’s purpose.
“This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” — Psalm 118:23
The Tactical Hapkido Alliance has never been about me—it has always been about us, and about what God can do when we stay faithful, stay humble, and stay committed to serving others.
Looking back, I’m grateful. Looking forward, I’m excited. Because if God has done this much in 25 years… imagine what He can do in the next 25.
